Cowboys hoping to rework Dez Bryant’s contract

The saga of Dez Bryant‘s contract could be coming to an end soon. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones indicated that he hopes to hammer out a revised deal with the wide receiver by the end of the next, if not this week, Clarence Hill of the Star Telegram writes.

I think that these two guys that we signed [Allen Hurns and Deonte Thompson] and what we might look at in the draft, at any level of the draft, plus what we might get worked out with Dez, gives us a good-looking receiver outlook, Jerry Jones said.

But sources say he is doing well, adhering to his program and the feeling around him is said to be positive. Gregory did not participate in training camp last summer after getting moved to the reserve/did not report list. In two seasons, Gregory has only played 14 games and recorded one sack. Fortunately, he’s remained out of trouble aside from his testing problems and at 25 there’s still plenty of time for him to realize his potential.

Alexander did the position drills as a cornerback and said he has worked on his hip flexibility in the offseason after a 2017 season in which he played in just six games and faced injuries.

I carried that chip on my shoulder for nine weeks, throughout my training, before the combine and even now, Alexander said. I still have a bunch to prove. I’m not done. So stay tuned.

Trinity product Reggie Bonnafon had a solid day with a 38-inch vertical and a 40-yard dash in the 4.5 range (though the runs were not electronically timed).

Bonnafon played everywhere at Louisville, mostly running back as a senior in 2017. He said teams have shown interest in him at running back or wide receiver, and he also returned 12 punts for 81 yards last season.
