‘Several teams’ intrigued by possibility of signing Johnny Manziel

Rumors of a possible reunion between free agent quarterback Johnny Manziel and the NFL are heating up. This comes after Manziel recently participated in two pro days, looking rather impressive in the process.

Now, according to Jordan Schultz of Yahoo! Sports, several teams are reportedly intrigued by the possibility of signing Manziel.

I’ve watched them play 20 times this season. I haven’t seen a single team set the tempo against them, Baldwin said. They play their style no matter who they’re facing. That’s not going to change now.

If he’s right, then Townes will be part of the most unexpected champion in March Madness history. The team that beat Miami, Tennessee and Nevada by a combined four points before crushing Kansas State to get here is, not surprisingly, the underdogs.

Townes is used to that.

The Browns announced Friday they signed the former Packers receiver. The news was first reported by Good Morning Football’s Peter Schrager.

Janis is the latest addition to a revamped Cleveland offense that will feature receiver Jarvis Landry, running back Carlos Hyde, quarterback Tyrod Taylor and, eventually, whichever quarterback the Browns select in the first round of the draft.

Janis, a seventh-round selection by the Packers in 2014, has registered 22 career special-teams tackles and returned 23 kickoffs for 568 yards (24.7 average).

The Browns also confirmed the acquisition of former Cardinals quarterback Drew Stanton.
